“In an effort to back our brand, support our agents and staff and to offer a really cool place to come and work everyday, we created what we felt was the ideal place for a brokerage. With multiple meeting rooms, a full kitchen, fun and comfortable work spaces, open design for events and collaboration and great parking, we created a space which would serve our needs and our agent’s needs for years to come.

“The recognition we received from our neighborhood and our peers in the development community has really opened up several doors for us. I have lost track of the number of times someone has made a comment about ‘This is not what I expected when I walked into a real estate office’ or ‘I had no idea you could do something like this’ or (my personal favorite) ‘This is Richmond??’ when they first visit. Each time I hear it, I think ‘Good.’
“We have hosted numerous events (Richmond Development Community, HYPE, Citizen 6 Launch Party) and each time we do, we are promoting our brand. The impact of the exposure cannot be understated. You can actually see a spike in web traffic for several days after the event as attendees show their friends pictures of our office.
“The impact on our collective businesses has been immediate. When we get clients to our space, the differences between what we offer and what a typical brokerage offers become real. Builders, developers, commercial clients as well as individual buyers or sellers are all impacted positively by the space and immediately they grasp they are working with a group offering ‘more.’
